Happy Birthday Al Jaffee!!!


This is oil on board, 11'' x 12''. It's fun working with oils again, there'll be another following very soon.


Al Jaffee is one of the 'Usual Gang of Idiots' that have made MAD Magazine what it is today. Al is famous for his ingenious 'fold-ins' on the back page, which kept myself and my brother entertained as kids. Happy Birthday Mr Jaffee!

This is a brilliant piece. I particularly like the lighting both in his face and the background and how they contrast each other perfectly.
