Mugabe Final Composition

Final composition for the sculpture competition on the NCN forum (see earlier posts). The initial composition and idea was seen through to the end, but I wasn't happy with it, so changed it to what you see here.

Considering I'm no photographer, and I don't have a particularly good camera, I'm quite happy with the final result. I had to use a lot of light (500w floodlight), and play around with the colour settings in Photoshop. The lettering on the books is also done in Photoshop.

Just discovered your blog, Mr Moyse, and I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying roaming through it!

I have recently started experiimenting with sculpted caricatures myself (also using Super Sculpey - luvverly stuff), so it was with great pleasure that I found your wonderful Mugabe!

A lovely sculpture of a comprehensively unlovely man, I might add...
