Narrowboat doodle

This was a doodle on the laptop whilst on holiday in Wales. It was a narrowboat adventure along the twisting canals of North Wales. Steering the boat was a bit like driving a bus on ice, which was lots of fun, and caused quite a few dramas along the way.

There was time for some drawing during the quiet periods, this one was taken from a DVD my niece happened to be watching. It's Reese Witherspoon from Legally Blonde.

You are taking a boat ride out in nature, in Wales, I assume with lots of beautiful countryside to see, and you are drawing on a computer and your niece is watching a DVD! Modern life!

Paul, don't worry, the drawing was done either when we were moored, or at night and when it was raining. The sketching from a DVD was for about 1/2 an hour. I was doing a lot of the driving during the week, and the scenery was fantastic!!! Especially going over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

wow, you've got some great stuff here! thanks for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments. yes the color sketch was from an earlier pencil post, I only had a couple hours so I just painted the face. I tried to draw her a few months ago, and I found her very difficult to do. It's the eyes that have to sparkle the way you did here. Great!
