This is the cover of the book I'm producing. I am working on lots of new material especially for the book, much of which will be step-by-step, including the Austrian Oak acrylic painting from the sketch pictured here. I am also delighted and honoured to have the legendary Kevin Kallaugher, cartoonist and illustrator for the Economist, writing the Foreward. I will be doing a caricature of Kevin as well.Friday, July 31, 2009

Mike Leigh Acrylic
This has been on and off my easel for a couple of months, and I've finally got around to finishing it with one final push to the end. It's a fairly large scale acrylic on canvas, 70 x 100cm. Mike Leigh is one of Britain's most celebrated film directors, and has made two of my favourite movies, Secrets and Lies, and Nuts in May. Check 'em out!

Making changes!
Just a quick note about my website. My ISP has let me down yet again, so while I look for other options, I will forward everything to the blog. In the meantime I shall take the opportunity to work on a new website, I’ve nearly finished a new self-caricature to kick things off, and here is a clip of some progress paintings that may or may not be included in a DVD. Also below is a video of me drawing live from one of my events last year.
