I am working on lots of new material especially for the book, much of which will be step-by-step, including the Austrian Oak acrylic painting from the sketch pictured here. I am also delighted and honoured to have the legendary Kevin Kallaugher, cartoonist and illustrator for the Economist, writing the Foreward. I will be doing a caricature of Kevin as well.

Mike Leigh Acrylic
This has been on and off my easel for a couple of months, and I've finally got around to finishing it with one final push to the end. It's a fairly large scale acrylic on canvas, 70 x 100cm. Mike Leigh is one of Britain's most celebrated film directors, and has made two of my favourite movies, Secrets and Lies, and Nuts in May. Check 'em out!

Exaggerated Features Cover
Hi guys. Did this last month for the cover of Exaggerated Features magazine, the quarterly publication of ISCA. I was honoured to be asked, and even though I don't think this is my best work, I'm fairly happy with the end result. It was done over the course of 2-3 days, at a period when I was pretty busy. ISCA members should have a copy by now, mine came last week. Debbie did a great job putting it all together.
Working on a couple of things at the moment, not least of which is a how-to book, which I'll be making available on a print-on-demand basis. It's a bit of a labour of love, a collection of my favourite pieces over the last 3 years, with my thoughts on what I have learnt so far, and some new tutorials. I'm pleased with the way it's going.

Making changes!
Just a quick note about my website. My ISP has let me down yet again, so while I look for other options, I will forward everything to the blog. In the meantime I shall take the opportunity to work on a new website, I’ve nearly finished a new self-caricature to kick things off, and here is a clip of some progress paintings that may or may not be included in a DVD. Also below is a video of me drawing live from one of my events last year.
